What is 'Thai Massage?'
Thai Massage (or Thai Yoga Massage) comes from the Indian (Ayurvedic) tradition, and can be more energizing and rigorous than most other forms of massage therapy. IT CAN ALSO BE VERY RELAXING. It's also called Thai Yoga massage, because I use my hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like postures and stretches. My clients say Thai massage is like doing yoga without doing any of the work. "Lazy Man's Yoga." No oil is applied, and you are typically fully dressed during the session, but feel free to choose the level of undress your're comfortable with. A single Thai massage session will help you release stress and relieve pain, and help you function more effectively at work and home.
"Traditional" Thai Massage is done on the floor or a mat. I do Thai Massage on a massage table, blending Eastern and Western styles of massage. It's also called "Table Thai."
